Of course, there are some downsides to the foam mattress. Some people say they are hot, which is probably not a problem if you live anywhere outside the sun belt. They are also fairly heavy, which makes transporting them yourself a bit of a hassle. (They’re not the best mattress to pick if you move constantly.) And they’re expensive.
There have been comparisons made between memory foam mattresses and spring mattresses and a lot of people could attest that they found sleeping on memory foam mattresses to be better. Lying on a spring mattress does feel nice but when it comes to body contouring as well as spinal support a spring mattress do not even comes close to what the memory foam mattress could give. When you use a spring mattress, your body conforms to it. While your weight is on the spring mattress, the springs exert a resisting force against your body. A spring mattress relies only on a varied number of springs that are pushing back against you with all of them having the same force. Since your body does not push evenly against those springs, it is impossible for you to get proper support. And because of this and the fact that you are the one who is adjusting to the spring mattress’s shape, your pressure points will lead to poor blood circulation and you would probably be complaining about body pains or sore muscles or stiffness when you wake up in the morning.
These days, cheaper latex rubber mattress pads will be made probably of artificial latex rubber or increasingly usually a composite of both types of latex foam. It should be apparent that, most natural latex rubber mattress marketers would tell you that an all natural product must be much better. Though, simulated latex rubber mattress sellers are bound to say that this concept is hogwash and that a man-made latex rubber core makes the latex mattress more tough. This is in point of fact truly a matter of expense as man-made latex might be cheaper as well as much more expense effectual to use for a mattress pad.
The new wave of latex mattress that is sweeping the bedding market is the mattress that comes to the consumer in pieces and must be assembled once it is received. This mattress is truly a wonderful product and is often misunderstood. After it is assembled, it resembles and sleeps like a traditional latex mattress. The benefits of this type of latex mattress are numerous. The shipping of the \"break-down\" mattress is very economical and affordable to a larger number of consumers. Traditional mattresses can be very costly to ship, especially if they have to travel a long distance to get to the consumer. Lower shipping costs allow for a comfort exchange policy that affords the consumer the option to ship back a layer single layer of the mattress to achieve a different comfort level. If a consumer purchases the wrong comfort level of mattress, they simply exchange one of the layers of the mattress. This makes for a very convenient transaction as the consumer usually sends back the layer they wish to exchange only after the new one is received from the company. This makes for no \"down time\" without a mattress. Buying a new mattress is a complicated, nerve-racking endeavor that is rarely perfected in one try. Even when purchasing a mattress from a brick and mortar store, you lie on the mattress for 15 minutes to determine if the new mattress will be comfortable for the next sevaral years. Then you get the mattress home and it’s not exactly what you wanted, but you live with it because it’s such a hassle returning it. With this new type of mattress, if you don’t perfect it the first time, you simply request a comfort exchange. By the time you decide you will do a comfort exchange, you know exactly what the problem is. If the mattress is too firm, you send back a firmer layer for a softer one. If the mattress is too soft, you send back a soft layer for a firmer one. And the best part of all, you don’t have to decide the perfect combination in 15 minutes in a store. You sleep on the mattress at home and have usually up to 90 days, depending on manufacturer, to determine what it is you need to make the mattress perfect.
The firmness of a memory foam mattress is used in defining comfort. A memory foam mattress can be firm to supple. Because your weight is distributed evenly over a memory foam mattress, you get a firm feeling without your hips, back, and joints being compromised. And because a memory foam mattress adapts to your body heat, your body gets the cradling support it requires. Almost every Memory Foam Mattress is temperature sensitive. At lower temperatures, the mattress is firmer or more viscous while at higher temperatures, the memory foam mattress is softer making the mattress more comforting, as it is more elastic. The mattress’s temperature sensitivity is responsible for the melting feeling you have whenever you are lying on it and this accentuates the foam’s molding affect. This is another thing that a spring mattress does not have. A spring mattress does not react to the heat of the user’s body.
